Susanna Reid, one of the most prominent figures in television, has announced that she is prioritizing her family over additional work commitments. 

The Good Morning Britain presenter, who is reportedly one of the highest-paid women on TV, has decided to scale back her workload to focus on her three children.

Despite maintaining her role on the popular morning show, the 51-year-old has made it clear that she will not be taking on any extra projects. 

Speaking candidly about her decision, Susanna shared, “I’ve made the decision this year, 

because my boys are doing GCSE and A-levels, it is really important for me that I am present. I’ve just decided that they’ll be my focus this year.”

A source close to the presenter has revealed that Susanna has been re-evaluating her priorities in recent times. 

The insider explained, “She’s felt her entire life has centered on work for so long, and she wants to put herself and her family first. She doesn’t want to miss out on time she has before her two youngest leave for university. She’s told friends she’s worried she’ll look back in 10 years’ time and think, ‘What was all that work for?’”

Susanna first gained widespread recognition when she became a presenter on BBC Breakfast in 2003. Her unexpected move to ITV in 2014 to co-host Good Morning Britain alongside Piers Morgan turned heads. However, despite Morgan’s controversial exit from the show in 2021 following a dispute over Meghan Markle, Susanna has continued to thrive, securing a reported contract worth £1.1 million.

Beyond her morning television duties, Susanna has built an impressive portfolio of hard-hitting documentaries, including “British Grandma On Death Row With Susanna Reid.” She has also appeared on various shows, including Loose Women, and was a runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.

I find that really hard. There are moments when you think, ‘Why was I not present when they were tiny?’ I was around a lot for them, but sometimes you can regret you weren’t there playing with them every single moment of every single day. You have that kind of guilt.”

Following her split from Cotton in 2014, Susanna has remained largely single, though she was linked to Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish in an on-and-off relationship that began in 2018. The two were last seen together enjoying a meal in London during the summer of 2023, but they have not been spotted together since, sparking speculation that they have parted ways once again.

Now, according to sources, Susanna is ready to embrace the next chapter of her personal life. “She is single, but she feels like she wants to put some time into finding a new man. She’s hoping to spend the extra time she’ll have by sacrificing additional work projects to focus on herself, as well as her boys, and that includes dating. She’s hoping a calmer schedule will allow her to put more time into looking for her Mr. Right, too.”
