ZAYN Malik has revealed he will be going on his first solo tour – ten years after quitting One Direction.
The singer, 31, made the announcement during a surprise appearance on Jimmy Fallon, which saw him hand the host a note.

It read: “Hey Jimmy, great to see you mate. I’m going on me first-ever solo tour this autumn so maybe when you’re done picking apples with your buds, you can come check out my Stairway To The Sky Tour across the US and UK.
“I’m making an official announcement tomorrow morning, let me know what date you want tickets for.”
The news sparked a frenzy amongst his fans, who couldn’t believe the tour would be happening so soon.
One excitedly wrote: “It’s been a long time coming.”
Another gushed: “I’m so so proud of you and how far you’ve come Zayn.”
A third exclaimed: “Wait the tour is this year?? I thought it’d be like next spring or something. WHAT.”
The pop star also shared a sneak peak of his official tour promo video on Instagram.
In it he can be seen walking through a large meadow in black and white, before the clip suddenly transitions into technicolour.
During the tour he will be playing hits from his new critically acclaimed album, Room Under the Stairs.
Zayn wrote the album over the past six years in rural Pennsylvania and it was released in May, 2024.
The pop star recently performed a solo show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, but this will be his first time going on a large scale tour.
His performance in London this March was also the first time he has taken to the stage since quitting One Direction nine years ago.
The Bradford local previously admitted to struggles with anxiety after becoming a one man band.
In 2016 he told fans: “As a solo performer, I felt much more exposed, and the psychological stress of performing had just gotten to be too much for me to handle—at that moment, at least.”
